ZashPay
ZashPay is an online payment service that allows you to quickly send or receive money from virtually anyone you know without knowing their personal account information. It eliminates the need to write a check for minimal amounts, or to remember to get cash from an ATM. It's one of the easiest and quickest ways to pay back a friend for tickets, lunch, or help out a friend with an unexpected bill.
Getting started is EASY!
Step 1: Log in to your Online Banking account in the login area located at the top left of this page. If you are not currently enrolled in Online Bill Pay, simply follow the instructions to enroll (You must be enrolled in Online Bill Pay to use ZashPay).
Step 2: Once you are enrolled in Online Bill Pay, select the Pay People tab in the Payment Center to create a payment.
Step 3: Under the Pay People tab, a "Send Money" box appears. You can choose to send money to "Someone new" or to "Someone in your send list."
To add someone new, you will need the person's first name, last name and e-mail address (or mobile phone number).
Step 4: Once you are finished adding someone new or selecting someone in your send list, click "Preview Payment' and verify the information is accurate."
Step 5: Click "Send Money." A confirmation will appear noting that the payment was sent, and you will receive a confirmation e-mail. This information is recorded in your "Recent Payments" box for your electronic files. There you can also check the status of your payment.
SEND money TO someone
Enter the mobile phone number or e-mail address of the person you want to send money to, along with the payment amount and a message. It costs only 50 cents, and you can send money to anyone - regardless of where they bank.
RECEIVE money FROM someone
With ZashPay, family, friends, business colleagues, or anyone else can send you money. There's NO CHARGE to receive money.
Supported mobile carriers include: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. If the person to whom you are sending money does not have mobile service with one of these carriers, but is already enrolled in ZashPay, they will still receive the notification to claim their money. However, If the person to whom you are sending money DOES NOT have mobile service with one of these carriers, and is NOT already enrolled in ZashPay, you may choose the "e-mail address" field as opposed to the "Mobile Number" field on the "pay people/send money" page of Online Banking, and he or she will receive an invitation to claim their money via e-mail.
Someone who has never registered for ZashPay before has 12 calendar days to register and claim the money. The money does not leave the sender's credit union account until it is claimed; so if the money goes unclaimed, the sender will receive an alert letting him know that the payment has expired.
Recipient may be asked to provide documentation to prove his or her identity if under age 21 or don't already have an established online banking account.
